언제부터인가 괜히 낯간지러운 청춘이라는 단어는 나에게 사어가 되었다고 생각했다. 너무나도 빛날 수 있었던 그때는 원치 않는 것들을 하는 데 모두 보냈고 다시는 그때와 같은 마음으로 살 수 없을 거라고.
매일 반복되는 미지근한 나날들. 영원히 원하는 무언가에는 닿을 수 없겠지, 그렇게 제자리를 돌고 또 돌고 있다고 생각했다.
그런데도 온전히 포기할 수 없는 마음이 있었고 계속해서 걷고, 또 걷다 보니 영원히 똑같을 줄 알았던 눈앞의 풍경이 조금씩 바뀌었다.
아, 내 안의 푸름은 더 이상 존재하지 않는 게 아니었구나. 눈부시게 빛나지 않더라도, 계속해서 푸르르고 있었구나.
우리는 내내 푸르르고 있었구나.
